Here's the scam:
Guy on street begs you to look at their menu. When you refuse he promises a 20% discount.
You don't get the discount because the waitstaff and the cashier don't even know who the guy is, and of course the guy is nowhere to be seen.
But that's not the biggest scam:
You order 4 plates of french fries to go with the food for your studnets, and it's on the menu for 6 NTL. The waiter says, "for the table?" You assume he means to be shared, so of course you say "yes."
Well, what he means is, I'm going to bring you a bigger portion than the portion you just ordered, and when the bill comes, he's charged you 12 NTL per plate.
So not only did we not get the discount, but we got charged nearly $50 for french fries. RIP OFF!!!
